Tree felling should be used as a last resort, for a sick, declining or dangerous tree. Our skilled arborist/pruners perform this task, according to professional standards. Every possible effort is made for a safe and clean working environment, without any damage to your property.
Pruning involves the removal of dead, broken, diseased or potentially dangerous branches. Pruning can also be used to orient the development of a tree or to correct structural defects. Properly executed, pruning is beneficial to the tree and improves its appearance. A maximum of 20% of tree canopy can be removed during an intervention, and most adult trees should be pruned every 5 to 7 years.
The stump and roots are mechanically removed. The stump is rooted to a depth of about 25 cm (10 in) to ensuring that no sprouts emerge. We remove all wood chips and debris, leaving the area clean and ready for future tree planting.
The first years of tree growth will affect structural development for the rest of its life, hence the importance of intervening quickly. It is easy to adjust structural defects when the tree is young, the branches cut are small and heal easily. If pruned young, a tree will require minimal maintenance as it matures.
